Meet The Face Behind SETX Home Inspections

I’m Jason Cooley, proud owner of SETX Home Inspections.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I’ve always loved houses and home design, as well as house construction. I started this business to help people be smart homeowners by educating them about their potential home and any concerns or issues with the house, as people usually do not have the time or ability to fully understand the complexities of the systems and components that make up a typical home. 

I’ve been licensed by the State of Texas as a Professional Home Inspector since November of 2016. Before that, I’ve held previous jobs as a remodeler, cabinet builder, home builder, and handyman. By day, my profession is planning, so I tend to be highly organized and thorough. I believe in providing the same service as if it were my home, my dollars, my investment, and my family buying their home. If I can’t bring something to the table, then it’s not right to charge for my services. If I can’t genuinely contribute, then I share my opinion and refrain from charging any fees.

Over the past couple of years, I have noticed that I’ve grown in my passion for what I do, my experience, and my exposure to the Texas Real Estate standards of practice that help to ensure items of concern are appropriately identified and called out on the report.

What I find most enjoyable about my job is talking with people, helping them understand all the nuances of home ownership and building a friendship out of their trust in my ability and integrity. I think this is what sets me apart from the others in my field. I also get satisfaction in seeing people’s worry and anxiety melt away when we walk through the home, and I explain things to them in a way they can understand. And when I get a call from a referral, it’s heartening to know that my clients truly appreciate my work enough to recommend me to someone else.

I attribute my success to my relationship with God. Without Him, I am lost. He provides the way, and I follow.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren. I also play the drums and tinker around my house on cars and motorcycles.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
